Cambridge English For Life sparked joy with its annual Awards Presentation Ceremony held on Sunday, 14 April 2019 at Sri KDU International School in Kota Damansara. The pivotal ceremony was for CEFL students to give them the confidence and confirmation of their flourishing skill set in the English language.

The annual ceremony is an initiative by CEFL to celebrate the achieved successes of CEFL students in the Cambridge Assessment English examinations in the previous year, while also acknowledging the achievements of CEFL teachers that brought these students to greater academic heights.

The celebration was attended by the students’ parents, CEFL teachers and faculty staff as well as VIPs from Cambridge Assessment English and REAL Education Group. They were Dr Goh Chee Leong (Chief Executive Officer, REAL Education Group), Dr Angelo C. Maduli (General Manager, Curriculum and Development, REAL Education Group), Mr Hamidi Halim (Country Head, Malaysia for Cambridge Assessment English) and Ms Jenny Yeoh (Customer Services Manager, South East Asia and Pacific, Cambridge Assessment English) and our very own Dr Elsie Chin (Chief Executive Officer, Cambridge English For Life).
CEFL students eagerly waiting for their turn to receive their well-earned awards onstage.
Students around the world sit for the Cambridge Assessment English examinations in an attempt to elevate their English skills to levels of international value and recognition. As an authorised examination centre, CEFL administers the Cambridge Assessment English examinations in Malaysia. Thousands of CEFL students successfully sat for the international Cambridge English examinations last year. The exams are sent to the UK to be marked by Cambridge Assessment International Education and the CEFL students did very well. For this year’s Awards Ceremony Presentation, CEFL honoured nearly 500 candidates who received certificates, including 40 candidates with 100% scores on their Cambridge examinations.
With a wink to Marie Kondo’s movement of choosing joy, Chief Executive Officer of CEFL, Dr Elsie Chin, delivered a welcoming address about the joy that teachers sparked for CEFL students. In light of this, CEFL awarded the teachers that demonstrated outstanding academic quality, expertise and commitment throughout last year. A keynote speech was delivered by Chief Executive Officer of REAL Education Group, Dr Goh Chee Leong.
