On 13 May 2015, CEFL Rawang collaborated with SMK Selayang Baru in conjunction with the school’s English Language Month. In view with this collaboration, CEFL Rawang aimed prepared special programmes and activities for the students, beyond their secondary education to develop and enhance their leadership attributes for their future in tertiary education.
The event kicked off with students taking the placement test to determine their level of English proficiency. After the test, students who scored exceptionally well were chosen to be part of CEFL Rawang’s Public Speaking training session where they learned to improve and master the English language and to overcome their fear of speaking in public. The highlight of the event would be when five finalists were chosen to participate in a public speaking competition and a 15-year-old boy, Aghilan Sankar came out as the Grand Prize winner for the competition. It was indeed an eventful day in SMK Selayang Baru and its teachers and students look forward for more fun days learning English with CEFL in the future.
