Cambridge English For Life (CEFL) has partnered with The Edge Education Foundation (TEEF) for its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project, scheduled from 4th March – 13th May 2015. This event was also part of TEEF’s educational initiative with Taylor’s University and Ernst & Young, named PACE (Programme for After School Enrichment). CEFL provided English lessons for a period of 10 weeks to 50 students from two schools in Sentul, Kuala Lumpur.
The lessons were conducted for students who are sitting for their PT3 examinations this year at SMK (L) Methodist Sentul and SMK (P) Convent Sentul. The classes were conducted after school hours and there was a CEFL teacher stationed at both schools, guiding the students for one hour and 15 minutes, every Wednesday for 10 weeks.
This project encourages student participation through an interactive learning approach with practical use of the language and students were taught in a happy and relaxed atmosphere. During the session, students were given worksheets that were specially designed to enhance their reading, writing, speaking and listening skills.
