Due to successful collaborations with Sri Murugan Centre (SMC) in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects, Cambridge English For Life (CEFL) continued the partnership to provide free English lessons for underprivileged students. The lessons were conducted for students who will be sitting for PT3 examinations this year and the classes were on Saturdays at SMK Vivekananda, Brickfields for four weeks from 7th – 28th March 2015.
These students come from various schools all over the country and are members of SMC. During the 1.5-hour session, students were given worksheets that were specially developed by CEFL to enhance their four language skills; Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking. They were also encouraged to participate in activities such as role-playing, spelling bees, presentations and group activities.
CEFL has previously participated in CSR projects with Sri Murugan Centre to provide free English lessons for underprivileged students. The recent project was last year’s holiday programme. The lessons were conducted in conjunction with the school holidays on 14th December 2014 from 9am to 1pm at the Sri Murugan Centre in Klang.
