CEFL Arena Curve opened its doors to packed crowds of eager parents, children and the general public with the roaring welcome of the Chinese Lion Dance accompanied by the beat of ‘tanggu’ drums, gongs and cymbals to usher in good health and good fortune for all attendees.
Joining Dr Elsie Chin, founding CEO and the Senior Management team of CEFL in the merriment was Deputy Chief Minister II of Penang, YB Prof. Dr. P. Ramasamy to officiate at the ribbon-cutting and eye-dotting ceremony to mark the grand opening of CEFL Penang.
The grand opening also set the scene for the much anticipated collaboration between Sekretariat Sukarelawan India University Science Malaysia (SSI USM) and CEFL. Bearing witness to the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the two renowned institutions was none other than YB Prof. Dr. P. Ramasamy. In the words of Dr Elsie Chin, “The collaboration between CEFL and SSI USM enhances learning opportunities for students to practise and master the correct use of English in all settings through a series of workshops that incorporate CEFL’s signature 21st century teaching and learning pedagogy.”
