About RHB-NST SIR
RHB-NST SIR 2011 is a nationwide spelling competition for students in primary and secondary schools to discover individuals who possess outstanding command of English vocabulary. It was held for the first time in 2008. The objective is to improve the standard of English language and encourage an all-around quality education. Jointly organised by RHB Bank and NST, endorsed by the Ministry of Education, the competition is divided to 2 categories – category 1 for primary schools (Year 1 to Year 6) and category 2 for secondary schools (Form 1 to Form 5). There are two challenge stages; State Challenge and National Challenge.
