Overview
This course prepares learners for situations that require effective written and spoken communication. Learn to communicate in teams through a variety of fun collaborative activities with other students or be involved in individual efforts. The learner's confidence and expertise in written and spoken communication are gained through active participation in practical and meaningful communication experiences.
Students will learn to construct and deliver a wide range of written and spoken communication in a clear, concise, and logical manner. In addition, participants will extend their ability to read different types of business texts. This programme is designed to provide a variety of appropriate scenarios representing experiences from various communities, cultures and/or professional groups. These activities and practices help the participants to discover how to use of communication techniques for real and practical business scenarios.
The programme begins with a diagnostic assessment of the participant's existing knowledge and command of English in the business context. It consists of 30 lessons of 2 hours each, conducted once a week. It takes 30 weeks (3 terms) to complete the whole programme.
By the end of this course, students will be able to:
- Actively adapt to situations that require practical and meaningful communication
- Create and deliver a wide range of written and spoken communication in a clear and logical manner
- Gain the ability to read and understand texts for specific purposes
- Develop proficiency in communication techniques for practical and realistic purposes
